Budew is easily one of my most adorable Pokemon - and those little noises! There's a very pronounced brush stroke effect on this one and it looks like something trainers would have on their wall or something. I love the sunset vibe and how the budew is jumping through the grass. I know it's a pretty niche thing but I love it when people highlight green with purple, I dunno it just looks really yummy to me haha.

ShellySunshine responds:

I know right - Budew is just precious. <3

Thank you so much for your feedback! I missed how I did the brush strokes on this too. Don't worry, I love the purple highlight against green too if it works well. :)

I still cannot get over how yummy your style is. I love how the colours really blend well with the background, and you can easily tell it's sunny because the lit parts are more yellow, wheras the shade is more of a teal colour. Love the overall vibe too! Another excellent piece from you, keep it up!

ShellySunshine responds:

Thank you so much! <3 Absolutely love it when people compliment my style! Appreciate the feedback!

I love how the bulgy parts the hands/petals are lit, it really makes it convincing as a texture, like a bump map of sorts (I'm bad at explaining things haha). I also like how high contrast this piece is, with the light source being the shadow ball. The effects on the shadow ball itself with the glowing effects on it are great, it really makes it look dangerous like I'm about to get attacked by this highly dangerous looking thing. Might be old but another really good picture of yours, great job!

ShellySunshine responds:

Thanks for the feedback! I think I understand what you meant! I had an absolute blast with painting in lighting bolts and effects on the shadow ball! Indeed, it is dangerous, especially paired up with a monstrous 125 special attack stat and decent 90 speed stat. I appreciate it!

Even though this is an old drawing it's still so good. The leaves look very 3D with the vein texture you painted onto them and the colours are so vibrant. Love the highlighting too and how you can see brushstrokes but at the same time it also looks so soft.

ShellySunshine responds:

Thank you so much! :D

I love how lifelike this is and at the same time it's so expressive. I love your choice of colours, they all compliment one another so well. The scale texture is boggling my mind, that part must've took a long time to render but it turned out really well and I can tell you love painting textures! The subtle highlight/rimlight on the scales is a nice touch too and makes it look even more 3D/like a 3D render. I also enjoyed the progress pictures, seeing your process and watching the colouring get more and more deep and vibrant with each picture!

ShellySunshine responds:

Thank you so much for your feedback! <3 Yes, I love, love, LOVE painting textures/grit. It just looks oh so ever appealing to my eyes! Thank you again!

Love schnauzers! I really love how you did the fur. It looks so detailed, flows well and is bold at the same time. I keep looking at the different lengths of fur that transition very seamlessly for example the fur getting longer on the snout. I like the blue highlights too. The ribbon and medal is nicely done and I like the shiny effect on it. I also like the saliva effects too hehe. Overall really good job

ShellySunshine responds:

Thank you soooooo much for your feedback! :D

I love this soft colouring lineless style! The picture is pretty creepy, but that's a good thing. I love pikmin 3 and I also loved the little detail of it having rainy days, something lacking in the fourth instalment of the game. You did the rain effects very convincingly and I love how there's drippy water here and there. I also really like the lighting too. I can't really think of anything to improve this picture so I'm giving this a five

I love the clean, lineless style and the gradient style shading. I also really like how each of the pikmin's heads are a different shape as if to represent a squash and stretch kind of animation style. It brings a lot of character to characters who are already so expressive. Overall really great job! I love to see some pikmin art

I saw your post on the art thread about style inspirations, and I really love the Breath Of the Wild/Tears Of The Kingdom character art style too! I love the brushy effect even though I'm more attuned to smoother brushes when I make art myself. It made me want to check out your art and can I just say I can definitely see the inspiration! I love the brushy effect here, as well as the vibrant colouring that you used where you go down in hue as the depth of your shading increases.

Another thing I like a lot about this piece is the motion and energy it has. I really get a good feel that Big Top is being thrown here, and trying to simulate motion with a still drawing can be a tough thing to pull of convincingly. I also really like that iridescent effect you did too it's just really satisfying to look at for some reason. Ballyhoo himself looks great too and I like how you did the colouring and the fabric creases. The background is pretty good too, not too detailed it distracts from the characters, but enough to get a sense of the angle. Overall a really great job!

ShellySunshine responds:

Thank you for your feedback and checking out my art! :D Means a lot!

Love the split usage of colour! I especially love how you shaded Shadow's wings, gives them a lot of depth, and the hands are really well done too!
